Common questions

How fast is the matching?+

Most matches are delivered within 3-5 business days. Urgent requests (arriving in under two weeks) are usually handled within 48 hours.

What if I don't like any of the families you show me?+

We'll look for more. You haven't paid anything yet, so there's no risk: you only pay when you accept a family.

What do I pay, and when?+

Nothing to apply. When you accept a host family you pay the $295 placement fee, your first rent payment (plus a 4% fee) and a $200 refundable deposit. We show you the weekly price of each family before you choose.

How are host families vetted?+

Every family goes through an application and a review of their home and room photos, and every adult in the home completes a criminal record check. We only onboard families we'd send our own friends to.

Can I cancel my application?+

Yes, any time before you accept a family, at no cost. Just message us on WhatsApp or reply to our email.

Is airport pickup included?+

If you book your homestay by November 15, 2026, arrival-day airport pickup is free. Send us your flight details once you have them and we arrange it.
